We love the zoo. Like really really love the zoo. We were looking for something cool to do last week on the 4th and found the Zoo de Granby in Quebec. We decided to give a it a try and we love it there. We got a year membership so that we can go back as much as we want. Zoo de Granby is our new Disney.lol I now have to brush up on my French skills so that we can communicate better when we are there and avoid that awkward moment when the person realizes that you don’t have a clue what they are saying.
Our first trip across the border went smoothly.
On our first visit we spent most of the time looking at the animals. Andy loves animals. Like really really loves animals. They have a “petit ferme” where you can go into the animal area and touch and/or pet the animals.
What is that?!?
He found the water stuff fascinating.
The great thing about the zoo is that the animals are all very visible and have been active when we were there. Maybe Andy’s enthusiasm just brings them out… (See monkey photo)
Where have I seen this animal before? Oh right, my shirt.
The next few photos are from our second visit…
Looking cute in his new Zoo de Granby hat.
He seriously made friends with these monkeys. This big guy at the window was funny but the little ones kept jumping at the window and when Andy touched he glass they mirrored him. It was great fun.
He zoo is super family friendly.
There are other fun things to do there as well. From cute photo ops to playgrounds and picnic tables everywhere.
There is an indoor activity area where you can try on animal skins and play with and read about other animal stuff.
During the summer months, there is a small waterpark area with a lazy river, the moms favorite, a water playground, two wave pools, and other pools and stuff. Playing in the water is hard work and makes us sleepy.
Going to the zoo makes Andy fall asleep sitting up.lol
We [heart] Zoo de Granby and look forward to more fun times!
