Disney Trip: Day 2

Day two, Tuesday, was our actual anniversary.  We slept in and had the top layer of our wedding cake for breakfast.  We also have the champagne from our wedding to wash it down.  Here’s us looking goofy in the morning.

The cake and champagne (it was chocolate peanut butter, btw):

We had an early lunch reservation at Coral Reef in The Seas.  We had been there once before and weren’t very impressed but we picked the restaurant for the location.  Since our reception was in the same building last year we thought it would be cool to eat there by the fish tank.  We were pleasantly surprised by the meal and service.

After lunch we were stuffed again.  Each meal on this deluxe dining plan includes a drink, an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert per person! We headed back to the hotel and took a nap, played in the arcade, and swam in the pool.  It was 1 million and six degrees out Tuesday so our retreat to the hotel was brilliant.  We got dressed for our ‘nice’ dinner (as if our other meals weren’t nice) and headed out to eat again.  On the dining plan you can use two credits at once and go to a really nice place so we went to California Grill on the top floor or The Contemporary Resort.  We had a late reservation, (9pm-ish) so that we could see it fireworks. When we got there we were told it would be about 20 minutes after our table time but we ended up getting right in.  Our table had a great view of the castle and the fireworks.  Dinner was excellent.

The fireworks started just as we were getting our dessert which was perfect.  We walked around after dinner and looked at the kitchen and the observation decks and then headed back to the hotel to pass out!
